BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) is a 5.5-year undergraduate program (including 1-year internship) that provides comprehensive training in homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine. The course equips students with the knowledge of homeopathic remedies, principles of healing, and the philosophy of holistic healthcare.
BHMS graduates can pursue a variety of career options, including practicing as licensed homeopaths, working in government or private healthcare sectors, conducting research in homeopathy, or advancing into postgraduate studies. Homeopathy is gaining global recognition for its holistic and natural approach to healthcare, and a BHMS degree opens up both national and international opportunities for students.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.
General category: A minimum of 50% marks in 12th grade.
Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC): A minimum of 40% marks.
Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is mandatory for admission to BHMS programs in India.

Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH) – The governing body responsible for maintaining standards in homeopathic education and practice in India.
National Medical Commission (NMC) – Ensures quality education and professional standards in alternative medicine, including homeopathy.
Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), Government of India – Responsible for promoting and overseeing AYUSH systems of medicine, including homeopathy.

Admissions to Engineering colleges in India are conducted at the national and state level. Some institutes like VIT and SRM conduct their own institute-specific entrance exam. It is very important to decide as to which private colleges to apply to as each private college will have a different system of admissions. A few of the private colleges will use the JEE Mains score card and some will conduct their own exams. Government engineering colleges have to follow the domicile requirement at the state level. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with an average of 50-60 % in PCM combined. A minimum of 50 % in English either in class 10 or 12 standards is required for all the candidates. The criteria will vary from one place to the other but these are the main criteria around which the admissions revolve.

An engineer can prepare for the GATE exam to get a seat post-graduation. GATE is an exam that checks one’s understanding of undergraduate subjects. A good GATE score can help you get a seat in prestigious colleges like NITs and IITs for M.Tech, which is one of the most preferred courses after B.tech.
